Well, have you ever heard about nursing assistant job? Have you ever noticed that if you get treatment in the hospital, there are some people that do basic nursing job even though they are not a Registered Nurse? Those people called as a CNA or a Certified Nurse Assistant. Their job is to help the nurse job in aiding the patient’s need. They provide, as we called it, nurse assistantship for the nurse and the doctor to decrease their burden and also helping the patient. As we know that nurses and doctors are human. CNA duties may vary in each hospital. But in common, CNA responsible in monitoring and noting the patient’s vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and patient’s temperature. They are also responsible with the patient’s hygiene as well. It’s their regular duties to keep the patient’s clean and healthy by performing oral care, bed bathing or other treatment needed by the patients. CNA are also responsible in giving food to the patient. They have to monitor the patient while the patient eats to prevent any eating problem such as choking or other.

All the duties mentioned above need special skill. Therefore the way to be a CNA is not easy. First of all you have to take a CNA training course and pass the final exam. After that you must follow and pass the state certification test before you can work as a CNA in a hospital. All of that required to make sure that the CNA have the skill required to care the patient perfectly.

So my last word is if you have some problem with your treatment and the entire nurse are busy, make sure ask help from the nearest CNA you can find. They’re there to help you.
